[Techie Tip] How to disable the annoying 'Restart' prompt after an automatic system update

Microsoft Windows OS sure knows how to get on your nerves, especially when you have the automatic system updates enabled. It can make you pull your hair out by prompting you to restart the PC every few minutes until you actually do it.

Here is how to disable that behavior:

Click Start -> Run
Enter “gpedit.msc”
Go to Local Computer Policy -> Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Update
Double-click on “No auto-restart for scheduled Automatic Update installation”
Enable it!
Reboot the computer.
